As a result of the inception of the United States Coast Guard (USCG and the Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Otesat-Maritel is introducing the e-NOA/D (Notice of Arrival / Departure) application to assist our clients in this respect.

After running the application, the user merely creates the form in an .xml file which is then directly submitted to the National Vessel Monitoring Centre (NVMC) via e-mail as the vessel is approaching US territorial waters, whilst managing and storing company, vessel, personnel, and arrival / departure information at the same time. The application allows a previously submitted form to be re-used and a partially completed form to be saved and submitted at a later date.

Additional features of this service are:

• it is compatible with all e-mail software and data transfer solutions(i.e. MS Outlook, Rydex Rmx2, Telaurus se@COMM etc);

• the user is not obliged to log in the USCG intranet in order to create the form and therefore run expensive telecommunication bills;

• the size of the .xml file, created by the Otesat-Maritel e-NOA/D application, is reduced and, as a result, is inexpensive to send via e-mail;

• it can be used in conjunction with Otesat-Maritel’s e-mail compression software, (hermes_messaging Rmx2 and Telaurus se@COMM), providing even further cost reductions;

• the user is not obliged to upgrade existing computer hardware / software in order to run the application, as required by other similar products.
